Don’t Be Silent, Make Your Vote Count!

America is a unique country where citizens have the right to decide who runs their  government. One group of people that are a key force in shaping the countries future, is millennials. However, most of the United States youth don’t see the importance of voting and stay silent. The goal of this campaign is to increase voter turnout year round amongst millennials in local, midterm, and general elections.

Audience:

  • Millennials ages 18-29
    • Citizens with a high school degree or less, some college or Associate Degree, and College Graduates.

Social Platforms:

In order to reach as many millennials as possible, the campaign focuses on the most popular sites used by millennials:

  1. Facebook – 88% of millennials
  2. Instagram – 59% of millennials
  3. Twitter – 36% of millennials

 

Measurable Goals: Thinking Of You With Pride

  • Between the three platforms have at least 11,000 followers
  • Track number of
    • likes on posts
    • comments
    • shares
    • participants in contests and challenges
    • hashtag
    • mention of accounts in millennials posts

By looking at each platform the campaign popularity can be determined. This will signal if a new stragety should be implemented to attract more viewers and followers.

  • Facebook: promoting brand, message, and post election dates for local, midterm, and general elections.
  • Instagram: engage with followers through photo contests and comments.
  • Twitter: challenges, engage through retweets and replies.
